What You Need to Know
- How much life insurance do you need? To answer this you need to take other factors into consideration. How much of the family income do you provide to the household? What would happen to the family if something happened to you? Is there anyone else that depends on you financially outside of the family that you care for? An important question for parents with children to think about is if the life insurance policy you considered would leave any finances set aside for the children’s education. We recommend calling one of our agents today to set an appointment to discuss all of your policy options in the event that something catastrophic happens to you to make sure your family is protected and financially cared for.
- Do you have an existing life insurance policy? If you are looking to make a change to your current policy or you’re looking to make sure your current policy is the best value for your coverage, here’s some questions to consider. Is it costly to replace your current policy? It may be, but in the long-term it may be a much better deal to upgrade to a policy with more coverage. Has your health profile changed in a way that may effect your policy? Are there certain benefits you would like to add to your policy without cancelling it? Our agents can help sort through all of the these questions with you.
- Have questions about your policy because you don’t understand something? Call your agent. At Billy Hewes Insurance we have over 30 years of experience on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We’re confident we can answer all of your questions with the customer service you deserve, contact us today.
Types of Life Insurance
- Term Insurance – Term insurance covers you for a term of one or more years and pays a death benefit only if the policy holder dies during that term length. Term life insurance normally does not build up any cash value and you are able to renew most term lengths due to a change in health or coverage need.
- Whole Life Insurance – Whole life insurance covers as long as you live as long as your premiums are paid. Normally these payments are equal throughout the policy length. Because premiums are the same throughout the entire policy you may have a higher premium early on but as time moves forward, the policy premium may be less than what the new cost of a policy would be.
